Marine Geophysics and Hydroacoustics

Research Interests

  • Geological processes on continental shelves and slopes
  • Seabed characterization and offshore geo-hazard mapping
  • Quantitative analysis/interpretation of bathymetric data, chirp or seismic data

Through this time of study at Institute of Geoscience, Kiel University, Germany, I hope to expand my horizon, improve my knowledge and conduct a cooperative study on the geological processes on the northern continental slope of the South China sea. The objectives of the  planned works are to figure out the origin of small slope-confined canyons and their migration and to reveal that how sea-level controlled/affected the canyons’ morphology and evolution, as well as to prepare joint publications.
